STEP 4.3: A CASE STUDY
Builds His Launch Calendar
Sam has his one-page launch plan. Now, he needs to turn that strategy into a concrete schedule of posts for Twitter and Reddit.
The Challenge
What should Sam post to build excitement for a new SaaS tool? He needs a daily to-do list to guide him through his 30-day beta launch.
The Action
Sam uses the Week-by-Week Countdown template to plot out the key phases of his launch.
1. Pre-Launch Content (Weeks 1-2)
This is the "build in public" phase. Sam's goal is to get feedback and build a waitlist.
Week 1 (The Problem): Post questions on Twitter and Reddit like "Fellow writers, how do you manage your invoices?". Share his own struggles with spreadsheets.
Week 2 (The Solution): Share early mockups of his app. Post a link to a simple landing page to collect emails for a beta waitlist.
2. Launch Week (Week 3)
This is go-time! Beta invites go out.
Email the waitlist with their invite links. Post on Twitter and Reddit: "Beta is LIVE! First 100 users get a 50% discount on the Pro plan forever."
3. Post-Launch & Feedback (Week 4)
This is all about gathering feedback and social proof.
Personally email every beta user asking for feedback. Share positive testimonials on Twitter (with permission). Post a "What I learned from my first 50 users" thread.
The Outcome
Sam now has a detailed, day-by-day plan. He's not just launching a product; he's building a community around it from day one. He feels organized and ready to get his first users.
