STEP 6.2: A CASE STUDY

Builds Her Team

Isabelle's business is growing, but she's become the bottleneck again. She's spending all her time on project management and not enough on sales and strategy. It's time to make her first hire.

The Challenge

How can Isabelle hire someone who will care about her clients as much as she does? She needs a partner in her mission, not just an employee.

The Action

Isabelle uses the 'Mission-Aligned' Hiring Principles to create a role description for a "Junior Brand Designer & Project Coordinator."

1. Define Value Alignment First

Her job description leads with her mission and a "This is for you if..." section that emphasizes a passion for ethical brands and a love for creating systems.

2. Outline Key Responsibilities

The role will own the production of social media templates, client communication, and preparing files for final delivery.

3. List Required Skills

"Must-Haves" include proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and excellent communication skills. "Nice-to-Haves" include experience with Shopify.

The Outcome

Isabelle creates a role description that filters for candidates who are excited by her mission. She feels confident she can find a team member who will free her up to focus on growing the agency.
